Stop fossiele kindermarketing!<\/h3>

Extinction Rebellion eist dat Madurodam de relaties met fossiele vervuilers per direct verbreekt. Schaamteloos geeft Madurodam een podium aan een absurde hoeveelheid fossiele sponsoren die de wereld van kinderen kapot maken.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>

Minstens vijftien fossiele bedrijven sponsoren het park, waaronder KLM, Shell, Port of Rotterdam en Schiphol. Ook is een significant deel van de oppervlakte van het park toe te schrijven aan fossiele vervuilers.\u00a0Een positieve ervaring van kinderen koppelen aan fossiele sponsoren is niets anders dan fossiele kindermarketing.<\/h4>

De attractie The Flying Dutchman laat goed zien waarom dit niet acceptabel is. Kinderen krijgen een bedrieglijk beeld opgedrongen van KLM als een hero\u00efsch bedrijf. In werkelijkheid is KLM veroordeeld voor greenwashing<\/a>, staat de klimaatschade van KLM<\/a> per jaar gelijk aan twee miljoen huishoudens en wil KLM alleen nog maar meer gaan vliegen. Kortom, KLM liegt en maakt de wereld van kinderen kapot, maar probeert zich wel een goed imago aan te meten bij kinderen.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>

De wetenschap is duidelijk:

\ud83d\udcda Meer dan 240 miljoen kinderen misten schooldagen<\/a> door extreem weer.

\u2708\ufe0f Een meerderheid van de jongeren wil\u00a0een einde aan reclame<\/a>\u00a0voor vlees, vliegreizen en fossiele industrie.<\/h4>

Madurodam beschrijft op hun website dat ze er naar streven om kinderen en jongeren in verbinding te brengen met anderen en de samenleving een beetje mooier te maken. Daar past de normalisering en stimulering van een fossiele wereld niet bij.<\/h4>

Madurodam is \u00e9\u00e9n grote reclame voor bedrijven die de gezondheid en veiligheid van kinderen en jongeren in gevaar brengen. Dit is niet acceptabel. Deze vervuilende bedrijven mogen geen voorbeeld zijn voor de jongste generatie. Daarom eist Extinction Rebellion dat Madurodam per direct alle banden met fossiele vervuilers verbreekt en een voorbeeld wordt van de gezonde en rechtvaardige wereld die kinderen en jongeren nodig hebben.<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Madurodam, cut your ties with fossil fuel polluters now<\/h3>

Stop targeting kids with fossil fuel propaganda!<\/h3>

Extinction Rebellion calls on Madurodam to immediately end its partnerships with fossil polluters. Right now, the park shamelessly gives a platform to a shocking number of fossil sponsors\u2014companies that are destroying the world children are growing up in.<\/h4>

At least fifteen fossil companies support the park, including KLM, Shell, the Port of Rotterdam, and Schiphol Airport. A significant part of the park is dedicated to showcasing these companies. Linking fun, positive experiences for children to these polluters is nothing short of fossil marketing aimed at kids.<\/h4>

Take The Flying Dutchman ride, for instance. It paints a wildly misleading picture of KLM as a heroic, innovative company. In reality, KLM has been found guilty of greenwashing<\/a>, its climate impact<\/a> equals that of two million households per year, and it wants to further increase its number of flights. KLM is lying, harming children\u2019s futures, and trying to polish its image in front of young audiences.<\/h4>

The science is clear:
\ud83c\udf0d We\u2019re on track for a catastrophic 3\u00b0C of warming<\/a> this century.
\ud83d\udcda More than 240 million school days<\/a> have been lost due to extreme weather events.
\ud83e\udde0 Young people worldwide are suffering from climate anxiety<\/a> and want a fair and honest vision of the future.
\u2708\ufe0f A majority of youth want to ban ads<\/a> for meat, air travel, and the fossil industry.<\/h4>

Madurodam claims on its website that it wants to connect children and young people and help make society a little better. But normalizing and promoting a fossil-fueled world does exactly the opposite.<\/h4>

Right now, Madurodam is a massive billboard for companies that put children’s health and safety at risk. That\u2019s simply unacceptable. These polluting corporations should not be held up as role models for the next generation.
